Cocos Capital

In November 2023, Lucas joined Cocos Capital as a Senior Product Designer, becoming the only designer on the team for over a year. He led the redesign and evolution of the entire platform, working closely with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to elevate both the UX and visual identity. During this time, he designed a new homepage, revamped the user profile, and reworked key money flows like MEP dollar, send and receive, and fund investing in Pesos and Dollars. He built the crypto trading experience from scratch, and introduced a full card section with virtual and physical options. He also redesigned the portfolio and activity views for better clarity and usability. To support scale, he created a custom Figma design system and drove consistency across the app. His work helped set a new standard for design at Cocos, and by the end of his first year, he played a key role in hiring and onboarding a second designer to expand the team. The biggest challenge was transforming a fragmented product into a cohesive, modern platform—balancing speed, constraints, and business needs while pushing for design excellence.
